The students of 4 Ibnu Sina began their mathematics lesson with a clear explanation from Miss Firsti, an Apple Teacher. She introduced the concept of measurement, explained why understanding length and distance is important in everyday life, and then demonstrated how to use the Measure app on the iPad. With simple steps and real examples, she showed how the app could replace a traditional ruler and make the measurement process faster and more accurate.

Once the explanation was complete, students started exploring the classroom with great enthusiasm. They measured books, desks, chairs, and other classroom furniture, while some students became even more curious—checking the height of their friends, the length of the computer, and any object they found interesting. Their excitement filled the room, creating a lively and engaging learning atmosphere.

One of the biggest advantages of using the Measure app is its convenience compared to a regular ruler. Students can measure objects instantly without needing to position or align a physical measuring tool. The iPad’s camera provides digital guidance, allowing them to measure long distances, tall objects, or items that are difficult to reach with ease and accuracy. This makes the learning process smoother and allows students to focus on understanding the concept rather than struggling with manual tools.
By combining direct exploration with digital technology, the lesson became both meaningful and enjoyable. Activities like this show how our Digital Classroom approach helps students build curiosity, confidence, and problem-solving skills while discovering new ways to learn through technology.
