During an Indonesian Language lesson, Grade 5E students participated in a creative poetry reading activity in a digital classroom guided by Mrs. Nurkhasanah, the homeroom teacher of Grade 5E and a certified Apple Teacher.
Students prepared their poems using the Keynote app to present the text clearly and neatly. Before using GarageBand, Mrs. Nurkhasanah explained how to use the application, starting from recording the poetry reading to adding background music.
After the explanation, students began creating their poetry projects in GarageBand. They recorded their poetry readings and added background music that matched the mood of the poem. This process encouraged students to be more focused, creative, and actively involved in producing a complete audio piece.
Through the use of Apple’s creative tools, Indonesian language learning became more engaging. Students not only improved their poetry reading skills but also developed creativity, confidence, and positive digital skills.
